Message from the Principal
Warmest greetings of peace and joy!
Welcome to the University of San Carlos North Campus, Basic Education
Department (BED), formerly called USC Boys School. In 2005, the Boys
Grade School became co-educational when it accepted girls in Kindergarten
1 and 2 and Grade 1 to Grade 5. This school year 2006-2007, we are
accepting girls starting Kindergarten 1 up to First Year High
School.
USC North Campus BED is one of the pioneer schools in Cebu City
providing pre-elementary, elementary and secondary education. It has produced
successful Cebuanos who lead in their own fields of endeavor and show
the way for more Filipinos to emulate.
USC North Campus Basic Education Department is committed to the
institution’s vision, and mission and more so to its core values of
integrity, excellence, commitment, social responsibility, evangelization
and leadership. The USC North Campus BED, not only equips our
pupils and students with the basic skills and competencies but it also
strives to impart in all our students the true Christian values and
attitudes in the Spirit of the Divine Word. Our motto is Scientia,
Virtus et Devotio whose initial letters stand for Society of the
Divine Word, the congregation that runs the university. As Carolinian
educators, we inspire our students to take in as much knowledge and skills
as they can, learn discipline, know life, God and fellowman as they
progress from year to year. Moreover, we aim that our students shall be
always ready to use the knowledge (Scientia) and Virtus (moral/strength)
that the University of San Carlos stands for.
